We’re building an Accounts team that does much more than report the numbers. Our team helps us understand how the business is performing, supports better commercial decisions and gives our teams the financial insight they need as Seriös Group continues to grow.

We’re interested in connecting with talented people across our Accounts team, from Trainee Management Accountants and Management Accountants through to Senior Management Accountants and Accounting Managers. Whatever stage you’re at, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills, take on greater responsibility and build your understanding of how finance can influence the performance of a growing technology business.

Depending on your experience, you could be developing your core accounting skills, owning areas of our management accounts, partnering with teams across the business or helping shape how our Accounts function operates as we grow.

What you’ll be doing

Depending on your experience, you could:

• Support the preparation and delivery of accurate, timely management accounts

• Analyse financial performance and turn the numbers into meaningful insight

• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning

• Work with teams across the business to understand performance, costs and commercial drivers

• Investigate variances, identify trends and help colleagues understand what sits behind the numbers

• Support strong financial controls and maintain accurate financial information

• Find opportunities to improve our processes, reporting and ways of working

• Develop your commercial understanding alongside your technical accounting knowledge

• Partner with stakeholders to support informed, commercially sound decisions

• Share knowledge and support the development of others as your experience grows

At more senior levels, you could also take ownership of key areas of financial reporting and planning, provide greater challenge and insight to the business, develop others within the team and help shape the continued development of our Accounts function.

• Have an interest in or experience within management accounting and commercial finance

• Enjoy working with numbers but are equally interested in the story behind them

• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Can communicate financial information clearly to different audiences

• Are comfortable asking questions, challenging assumptions and getting to the root of an issue

• Are curious and committed to developing their knowledge and experience

For our Trainee Management Accountant opportunities, we’re just as interested in your potential, curiosity and desire to build a career in finance as we are in previous experience.

For our more experienced opportunities, we’re particularly interested in people who have previously worked within a VC or PE-backed scale-up and understand the pace, commercial focus and evolving financial demands that come with rapid growth.

At Senior Management Accountant and Accounting Manager level, we’re looking for people who can combine strong accounting knowledge with commercial thinking, stakeholder management and the ability to turn financial information into meaningful business insight.
